Ford Models Chicago and Discovery Clothing Company presents “Get Discovered Model Search” at select Chicagoland Discovery stores on Fridays and Saturdays, June 17 through July 9.
The Vernon Hills Discovery store will host the event on June 24 at 701 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

Franz joins credit union
Consumers Credit Union welcomed Lucas (Luke) Franz as its new Real Estate Loan Officer. Frantz, who works out of the credit union’s Mundelein office, brings more than 10 years of industry experience.
Franz joined CCU as Outside Real Estate Loan Officer after several years as Senior Mortgage Consultant for another mortgage lender in Lake County.
Radkes set to host benefit
REMAX Realtors Donna Radke and her daughter, Jennifer Radke, will spend Sunday, June 19 devoting their day to the cause of children’s health. That afternoon they are holding the 1st Annual Michelle Radke Benefit in Support of Children Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH).
The benefit serves as a memorial to Michelle Radke, the daughter of Donna Radke and sister of Jennifer. Michelle died at 29 in 1997 from complications of diabetes, which was first diagnosed when she was 2 years old.
“We’ve long wanted to do something like this to help other children and their families facing the same kind of challenges that we confronted with Michelle,” said Donna Radke.
RE/MAX is the exclusive real estate sponsor of CMNH, an organization that provides funds to more than 170 children’s hospitals in the United States and Canada. Nearly all funds raised by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network for CMNH go to Children’s Memorial Hospital.
Mundelein police are ready to host self-defense class
The Mundelein Police Department is hosting a free class for women 18 and over who are interested in learning self-defense tactics. Seventeen year olds with parental permission will also be allowed to attend.
The class will be held on Tuesday nights between 6–8 p.m. beginning July 12 and ending Aug. 2 at the Mundelein Police Department, 221 North Lake St., in Mundelein.
